Liverpool John Moores University can trace its origins to the Liverpool Mechanics’ School of Arts which was established in 1823. The University Student’s Union focuses completely on students and their university experience. As well as a wide range of activities and social events, the Union also runs services and support networks to help everyone get the best out of their time at Liverpool John Moores University. The Union has over 100 Sports Clubs and Societies within Team LJMU, from Photography to Handball, Engineering to Cheerleading.

Liverpool John Moores University has recently confirmed a partnership with the much-anticipated Littlewoods Film and TV Studios. This will create a direct line between academia and industry, allowing the University to offer a range of Higher Education courses which will equip students with the skills needed for the film and TV sector.
