One of the most highly regarded Universities in the UK, St Andrews can trace its origins back to 1413. It is comprised of three colleges: St Mary’s St Leonard’s and United College. Almost 8,000 students each year enjoy their studies in this attractive costal town.

The University of St Andrews was named [University of the year ](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_St_Andrews I)by the Times and Sunday Times and also the Good University Guide and is one of only two UK universities to achieve this. It ranks in the top 193rd in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2024.

Fees
Undergraduate fees for Scottish students of 2024 are £1820. For UK, Wales and Northern Ireland students the fee for 2025 is £9250 and for International students, the fee for 2024 varies from depending on each course. Full prices can be found here.
Bursaries
Five different trusts and scholarships are listed. These are the Antony Tudor Fund, the Frank Muir Prize, the Outsides Trusts, Sutherland Page Trust and the Travel Scholarship.
Accommodation
Rooms on offer include a catered standard, catered ensuite, self catered standard, self catered ensuite, and shared rooms. The University guarantees all EU, UK and overseas first year undergraduate students accommodation if they satisfy the given conditions.

Students' Union
The University of St Andrews Students’ Association website offers 193 societies and a volunteer recognition scheme which is run with Saints Sport to help students develop key skills.

Notable alumni include King James II of Scotland, Founder of the university of Glasgow William Turnbull and Prince William.
News
The university reported it had ranked top in the UK for academic experience in the National Student Survey of 2020 and that members of the Saints Netball took away awards in the Virtual Sports awards 2020.
