Lincoln has something for everyone, ok so it may be small and rather compact, but don't let that put you off! :)
The majority of shops tend to be within the long highstreet. There's a new rather large Primark! Oasis, Topman, Top Shop, New Look, Game Station etc there are also several boutique shops for those wanting to splash out or find something a little original.
Accomodation within the city is easy to sort out, there are several student flats by various different companies all offering something different, my advice would be to shop around. Go and view the places and maybe make a check list before you go of the things you require, do you want to be close to the university? Is the area well lit? Is it safe? Do you want a modern room etc?
If your house hunting the west end and high street area all seem to be popular with Lincoln university students, my advice, is to get in early! Lettings usual start around January and the earlier you find a property the nicer it will probably be. Make sure you check out the landlord, and where possible try and use the university accredited list! And remember wherever you choose to live - make sure you read the contract!
Lincoln is a good night out, everywhere seems to have student offers on so compared to other cities it can be incredibly cheap! Places like Glasshouse and Lloyds are fabulous places to start an evening out!
And if your not into clubbing...don't worry! Lincoln has plenty more on offer! The cathedral, castle and steep hill are all beautiful places to see, there are some lovely pubs, cafes and shops up that end of the city which are well worth a visit.
There are tonnes and I mean tonnes of different places to eat, there are all the usual places like Nandos, Mcdonalds, Ask, Pizza Express etc but there are also other more unique places for those wanting to try somewhere a little different...restaurants like the Barge, Pomodora and Tequilas up steep hill are well worth a visit!
Overall I think Lincoln has something to offer everyone! And if your still not sure pop and give the city a visit! :)
