It's funny how things suddenly start dawning on you when you hit that accept button or watch that letter fall into the post box.
It's a strange feeling that catches up with you and before you know it your up to your eyeballs in accomodation letters and you've got every bank under the sun pining for your loan commitment.
The accomodation services or 'commies' as i like to call 'em ask you to state why you should be considered for a place within the housing, and well you just have to laugh because it's obvious, isn't it?
"I NEED SOMEWHERE TO LIVE! That is WHY"
I mean you've got enough to worry about with moving away, starting a new course and settling into a new town let alone not having anywhere to go.
So, if like me you nearly used expletives when answering the 'why should we consider you' part, don't fear because after all.. you're going to be a student and if you can sleep in a bush for a night with your underwear on show and a beer can for a pillow, then i'm sure you can survive the great accomodation chase and come out first.
Just with a little bit more dignity.
