With origins tracing back to 1967, Central Queensland University has expanded from its original base of Rockhampton to include campuses nationwide. The university has experienced a large growth in terms of numbers of students, new courses and infrastructure.

    Central Queensland University ranks as the equal 33rd best university according to Times Higher Education rankings, with it coming in the top 250 globally for Young University Rankings.

  • Employability

    With their alumni gaining employment and achieving well in a wide range of different fields, CQUniveristy graduates are highly sought after by employers. This is down to the fact that the curriculum is designed in consultation with industry partners, meaning the students are developing relevant skills throughout their studies along with providing state-of-the-art facilities for the teaching to take place in.

  • Fees

    The Maximum Student Contribution amount from 1st January 2022 per EFTSL is A$3,985 for Band 1, A$8,021 for Band 2, A$11,401 for Band 3 and A$14,630 for Band 4. For International Students, tuition fees can range from A$18,520-26,000 per year, depending on the field of study.

  • Bursaries

    CQUniversity believe that quality education should be for everyone - no matter their background, location or economic situation. Thatis why the university provides support, ranging from technology to childcare. On top of this, over 120 different scholarships are available to students depending on many different factors.

Accommodation

The university provides on campus living for the main campus in Rockhampton which includes free Wi-Fi, 24 security, free gym and sports facilities and a free car washing station. CQUniversity also has reduced its rules and regulation within student accommodation as they have belief in the good behaivour of the students.

The Student Representative Council (SRC) aim to represent students with fairness and respect being the core values. From this they look to enhance the experience for all CQUniveristy students by providing an avenue for students to provide feedback on where they believe things can be improved.

CQUniversity is the only Australian University that has a campus presence in every mainland state.

News

In December 2022, CQUniversity opened a new building at the Gladstone Marina Campus providing a world class facility about advanced manufacturing and hydrogen and revewable industries.
