University of New England
The first university to be established outside of a state capital city in Australia, the University of New England has approximately 22,500 higher education students with it being established in its current form in 1993.

Rankings
The University of New England is ranked as the 3rd best public university in Australia, according to the latest QILT Student Experience Survey along with being the best univeristy in New South Wales.
Employability
UNE targets seven different attributes for its graduates: knowledge of a discipline, communication skills, problem solving, information literacy, ethical conduct and social responsibility, lifelong learning and indepedence and collaboration. The university also provides the opportunity for students to engage in activities to improve their employability.
Fees
The Maximum Student Contribution amount from 1st January 2022 per EFTSL is A$3,985 for Band 1, A$8,021 for Band 2, A$11,401 for Band 3 and A$14,630 for Band 4. For International Students, tuition fees can range from A$18,520-26,000 per year, depending on the field of study.
Bursaries
The univeristy provides a wide range of different scholarship options including ones for commencing students, continuing students, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and higher degree research scholarships.
Accommodation
As detailed on the university website, there is on campus accommodation provided which includes free, unlimited Wi-Fi and heating. There is the option to live in catered or self-catered options which are all conveniently located close to the campus.

The University of New England Student Association (UNESA) is the democratically elected student organisation that represents all UNE students, looking to improve their student experience. Some examples of what the UNESA provide include TuneFM - Australia's oldest university broadcaster - and Nucleus, a UNE student newspaper that was first published in 1947.

The University of New England has one of the largest residential college systems in all of Australia with roughly 50% of on campus students living in one of the colleges.

Former UNE student Tom Wilson has set up an iniative to support firefighters in Bhutan by sending them unused firefighter uniforms from Australian firefighting departments.
