Three Ways Students can Make Money Without Getting a Job
University schedules are hectic, and often you’ll find that you don’t have time to throw in a job on top of all your uni work. Nothing is free, though, so you’ll still need some form of income. There are a variety of ways that you can make money without getting a job that takes hours of your day. Here are a few of the options available for students. Completing Surveys There are many websites out there that will pay you for the simple act of filling out a survey. One of the most popular ones is Toluna, which asks you to test products and then answer questions about them. For every survey you fill out you’ll get between 3,000 and 6,000 points, and 80,000 points will get you a £15 Amazon voucher. If you would rather have cash than vouchers, you can try YouGov, which has surveys that focus on social issues. Each survey nets you between 50p and £3.00 (provided you do enough), and the surveys take about thirty minutes to complete. These surveys won’t make you rich, but they will give you some easy pocket money. Participating in Psychological and Medical Studies If you look through your university’s career services page, you’ll probably find loads of listings asking for people to participate in psychological and medical studies. These don’t require much work from you, and they’ll only take an hour or two at a time. The pay isn't usually too high, but if you take part in a few experiments a week you could make enough to at least pay for a round or two at the pub. Or, you could save up and have a nice amount of cash by the time you graduate university. Searching the Internet One of the easiest ways to make money online, Qmee is an app that rewards you for mindlessly surfing the web. You can install this app on your Google Chrome browser, and when you search Google, Amazon, or eBay, it will give you a few sponsored results. These results aren't just spam; they’re chosen for their relevance. If you’re interested, you can click on the result, and you’ll earn a few pence. Wasting time online has never been so profitable. Today, getting a part-time job isn't the only way to make money. There are plenty of opportunities online and at your university for entrepreneurial students to earn quick and easy cash.
