Famous for

Evidently, the university is known for its excellent teaching and consistent high rankings. Its degrees are modelled on those from top institutions overseas. Students begin by exploring a range of subjects, including those outside of their discipline before choosing a major. Thus, the university offers students a fun and diverse experience.

News

In December 2022, the university offered over 5400 students a place in the first Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre round. This has allowed students whose circumstances may mean their Australian Tertiary Admission Rank does not reflect their full academic potential. This has enabled students from a diverse range of backgrounds to enter university.

AFS says

Melbourne is a fabulous city, having won the Economist’s World’s Most Liveable City Award seven times! It’s a major centre for street art, music and theatre. Located in Victoria, there is plenty to see and do. It has recently been recognised as a UNESCO City of Literature. It would be pretty difficult for students to be bored and run out of things to do in this vibrant city!
