With Halloween right around the corner, many of you are likely scrambling around to find some last-minute matching costume ideas. Here are some fun outfits to try with your flatmates!
The Minions
A bit of a cliché, but nevertheless a classic. Paint your face yellow, put on some denim, and you’re good to go! To make it your own, consider painting half the group purple to go as evil minions, and recruit someone to go as Gru!
Condiments
This is a super easy idea for large groups, and requires minimal material. Get different coloured tops - red for ketchup, yellow for mustard, white for mayo, and so on. Print out different condiment labels and stick them onto your t-shirt. You’ve got a simple, but effective and funny costume! Adding a matching cap or hat is also a nice touch to complete the outfit.
The Powerpuff Girls
This is the perfect idea for a group of five. Put on a blue, red, and green dress, and style your hair. Then, recruit someone to go as Professor Utonium, who just needs to put on a lab coat, and find a volunteer to go as Mojo Jojo, using any sort of blanket or scarf as a cape! Easy but unique and entertaining.
Animals
Ideal for a large group, just putting on a headband completes half of this look. Wear clothes that match the colour or pattern of the animal, put on some makeup, and you’re done! This is the perfect last-minute costume idea for any large group trying to find out how so many people can match.
Bunch of grapes
Last but not the least, this might seem like a rogue idea, but is guaranteed to make people laugh. Put on some purple facepaint and decorate a swimcap to be purple with a leaf on top. A purple t-shirt ties off this hilarious look! While it might not be the most flattering, it is guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser.
Be creative and anything can become an outfit!
These are some of my suggestions for matching Halloween outfits. Remember, Halloween is all about having fun, expressing yourself, and getting creative, so don’t stress too much!
Anything can be made into a costume with minimal resources and extra creativity. Happy Halloween!
