Formerly Bishop Grosseteste University, it has been a leader in teaching and education for over 160 years and now offers a wider range of exciting degree courses than ever before. Currently educating over 2,000 students in a wide range of subjects, from undergraduate degree level to PhD and more.

Accommodation
Once you have accepted your offer to study at Lincoln Bishop University you will receive notification from the Accommodation Office inviting you to apply for accommodation - guaranteed for first-year students, either on or close to campus. Awarded 1st for Halls and Accommodation at the What Uni Student Choice Awards 2025, Lincoln Bishop students can choose from on campus modern rooms with a choice of ensuite or a shared bathroom or, accommodation less than 5 minutes’ walk away at its state-of-the-art Student Village. Students' Union
The Students’ Union is at the heart of the Lincoln Bishop University community. The Union is made up of course representatives, part time officers, sabbatical officers and the student council, all of which represent the student voice. The Union is home to many societies that hold regular events in the union.


Famous for
Lincoln Bishop University has many notable university alumni such as David Pugh, west end theatre producer, and Jade Etherington, a paralympic skiing medallist, who was the first British woman ever to win a Winter Paralympics medal on snow.

The Complete University Guide (CUG) 2027 ranked Lincoln Bishop University in 1st place for Student Satisfaction in the UK. This distinguished award is a welcome recognition of the views of Lincoln Bishop students on the quality of teaching, research and knowledge exchange and their positive experience at the University. Following the results of the CUG 2027, Lincoln Bishop University has now been in the Top 3 universities in the UK for Student Satisfaction for three years running.
