University of Lancashire

The University of Lancashire, formerly the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), traces its origins back to 1828. Its main campus is in Preston, with additional campuses in Burnley, Cumbria and Cyprus. The University adopted its current name in 2025, following approval from the Office for Students.

The University’s Student Centre and University Square opened in 2021 as part of a £60 million development at the Preston Campus.
