This is a spacious but very homely terraced house in the main 'student area' of Thornhill, just 10 minutes walk from the City Campus, City Centre and metro station. It is constructed to a very high standard and has many fine features. It has exclusively been the happy home of Sunderland University students since 1993! It meets all safety requirements but more important, it's a real home from home. I offer contracts covering just the academic year, longer at half rent if you need it. This means that you are not paying for accommodation that you don’t need over the summer! Though one of the least expensive student houses in Sunderland, this is amongst the best. The landlord, David Culleton (Merlin as he is known to most people), is an NLA accredited landlord who has worked closely with the University and the City of Sunderland Council for the last 25 years to provide the best for students. Ocassionally, in the past the house has been let to a group of 3 students at a discounted price and this would be possible for the next academic year. Also, the house could be let on an all inclusive basis, though as I am happy to fully explain, ‘inclusive deals’ invariably work out much more expensive! I have been letting 'student houses' in Sunderland for 20 years.
