Each summer we have available three 3 bedroom properties in central Canterbury for student groups. We started in 1991 with the house in Craddock Road; expanded with the maisonette/apartment in Whitehall Close in 1996; and then in 2000 added the house in Clyde Street, where we had lived happily since 1983, until we ran out of space for the teenage children and moved across town. We joined the City Council accreditation scheme at its outset in the early 2000s, and were enthusiastic members of Homestamp since the time when it took over the scheme, until sadly it folded due to the pandemic. We have also been members of the National Residential Landlords Association (NRLA, formally NLA) for many years, supporting professional standards in the private residential sector. We seek to keep our rents reasonable and affordable, while maintaining the properties to good standards, and getting to know all our tenants personally, so that we can address any problems promptly and sympathetically.  All three houses are in good decorative order, and have been refurbished over the past few years. They are also conveniently situated for the Universities (close to the bus routes for Kent Uni, and two out of three close to Christ Church).  The properties are let to groups of three, but we have often had individuals joining a group of two, so do contact us if you are three, two or one person(s).

Great student accommodation, centrally located yet affordable; 1, 2 or 3 tenants welcome to apply. Spacious 3 bedroom maisonette (apartment on two floors) near Westgate, with stunning Cathedral views, £1170 pcm (£390 pcm each; roughly = £90 pw each), and featuring a large living/dining room with a balcony. Deposit £400 per tenant. Available July 18th 2024. Bills are not included but packages are easy to arrange.  The apartment is located close to the Westgate bus stop for the UNIBUS route to the University of Kent. Alternatively, if you choose to walk, it's about 25 minutes to Kent Uni (10/15 mins walk or a short bike ride to Christ Church; a bike can be stored in the shed outside). The maisonette is next to the Westgate Gardens park and nature reserve – perfect for a peaceful get away, although it's also in the heart of Canterbury town centre, close to Sainsbury's Local, and also a greengrocers/general grocery store, often open out of hours, and a bit further to the High Street. Aldi is nearby in the other direction, a short walk via the nature reserve.  In the apartment, there  is a kitchen, bathroom and separate toilet. We have a stylish IKEA sofa and matching armchair, and smart curtains in the living room; all rooms have been re-decorated in the past few years, and a lot of new furniture installed. There is a full-size double bed in bedroom 1 and small doubles in bedrooms 2 and 3. New blackout curtains in all three bedrooms 2019. There is gas central heating with a new boiler 2023, a recently purchased frost-free fridge-freezer, double glazing, and good loft insulation. Plenty of cupboards, shelving and storage space. EPC Band D 68.
Parking spaces are usually available in a free Whitehall Close residents' car park nearby.  Or for tenants with cars who want certainty of a parking space on a regular basis, a parking permit can be obtained from the City Council (Holy Cross zone, currently £66 per annum).
