Nurtur House is an all-studio building, offering spacious studio apartments complete with a private kitchen and bathroom to suit all budgets, from our Classic rooms to our Penthouse suites.
Nestled right between the city centre and Kelham Island, its excellent location means you’re within walking distance of campus, the train station, cafes, and lots of other brilliant amenities.
With a double bed and 43-inch smart TV in every studio, Nurtur House also boasts lots of social spaces to suit everyone’s mood. If you aren’t soaking up Sheffield’s skyline on the Rooftop Terrace, you might be on the ground enjoying our peaceful Garden Courtyard.
Or if you like to keep active, work out in our 24/7 Gymnasium or enjoy a spot of yoga in our Calm Room, then wind down in our Home Room afterwards. It’s been kitted out with an impressive cinema TV, comfy sofas, and a communal kitchen area for you to enjoy.
And if studying alone in your studio just isn’t cutting it, come down to The Hub and book out one of our study rooms, occasionally breaking away to enjoy a spot of pool and table tennis.
All our residents enjoy free contents insurance at Nurtur House, as well as up to 100mb WiFi and rent that includes all your bills. After staying at Nurtur House for a while, I can confidently say that it exceeded all my expectations. From the first day I moved in, the staff at Nurtur House made me feel welcomed and comfortable. The reception team is friendly, approachable, and always ready to help, whether it’s about maintenance requests, parcel deliveries, or just a friendly chat. They treat every resident with warmth and respect, creating a genuine sense of community. What really stood out to me was how quickly they respond to issues — whether it’s fixing something in your room or helping with key access, the support is immediate and professional.

Resident at Nurtur HouseI’ve been staying at Apartment 112, 70 Allen Street, and it’s an excellent place for students. The location is perfect — close to Sheffield Hallam University, public transport, supermarkets, and restaurants. The apartment is modern, clean, and fully furnished with everything a student needs for comfortable living. The building is secure and quiet, providing a great environment for studying and relaxing. Maintenance and management are responsive, and the Wi-Fi connection is reliable, which is essential for coursework and online classes. Overall, it’s an ideal accommodation for students looking for convenience, comfort, and value for money. I’d highly recommend it to anyone studying in Sheffield.
