Students, sustainability and their accommodation

Accommodation for Students announced the results of a major new research study into students and sustainability in their accommodation.

The majority of students now consider sustainability issues as increasingly important when making purchasing decisions and increasingly when choosing accommodation.

83% of students believe environmental issues will become more important

The vast majority of students believe that environmental issues will become increasingly important when making purchasing or accommodation related decisions in the future. The students that responded to the survey were also more likely to choose sustainable accommodation, if all other factors were equal – almost 90% of the respondents were of this opinion.
