Impracticable and unworkable for student landlords

The Renters’ Reform bill was the topic of the latest AFS webinar on the 5 th of October. AFS were delighted to welcome Martin Blakey, CEO of Unipol Student Homes, to discuss the bill in its current form and the potential impact on student landlords.

During the session Martin covered the main elements of the bill and what they would mean for student accommodation. He highlighted the negative impact of the introduction of periodic tenancies and referenced the impact of similar reforms in Scotland, which had resulted in significant student housing shortages in key university cities.
