Demand from letting agents and landlords for ‘Man & Van’ app soars
Mobile app ‘Man & Van’ (available on IOS and Android), which launched
just three years ago to deliver on-demand transportation, has become
increasingly popular with letting agents and landlords with enquiries more
than doubling in the last 12 months.
The app enables users to book and pay independent contractors, who bid to
win removal or transportation jobs, via the app. The company’s pool of ‘Man
& Van’ drivers has now grown to 3,066.
Move from A to B at the click of a button
‘Man & Van’ is designed to help users move anything from A to B at the
click of a button, whether moving to a new house or simply transferring or
recycling a single item. Its services have proved useful to landlords and
letting agents looking for house clearances, end of tenancy waste disposal
and helping to tenants to move.

Users download the ‘Man & Van’ app for free, specify the type of job
(single item, multiple items, a removal, tip run etc.), take pictures of
the item(s) using their phone, add location information, select preferred
timeframe and then request quotes.
Through the driver version of the app, the pool of ‘Man & Van’
independent removal operators receive new job notifications for their
location and can quote on any job, with the user able to select the best
quote based on price and driver ratings from past customers. Once the user
has selected their favoured quote, they are then required to pay a deposit
to secure the job. All of the activity in the app is moderated to prevent
misuse.
