Swansea Unvierstity

Swansea University was originally created as the fourth college in the University of Wales but changed its name to the University of Wales Swansea in 1996 and adopted its current title in 2007. It is made up of 8 colleges based along and around Swansea Bay. It is one of the largest universities in Wales.

    Swansea University ranks in the top 300 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings for 2021.

  • Employability

    Swansea Employability Academy provides a service along side a degree to improve employability and even offers £100 towards events/societies students may wish to host.

  • Fees

    Students in Wales will pay £9000 a year for 2020/21 and the same goes for students in the rest of England and EU. International fees are specific to the course you study so the course page should be consulted.

  • Bursaries

    Swansea University offers academic scholarships, department specific funding, international scholarships, sporting bursaries/scholarships, Welsh medium scholarships and musician scholarships. Specifics and money information can be found here.


Accommodation is offered on the Bay Campus, Beck House, Hendrefoelan Student Village, and Singleton Park. Fees vary via accommodation from £95 per week (Hendrefoelan Standard medium room) to £216 per week (a 3 bed flat for 5 people in Beck house). Further pricing can be found here.

Students' Union

The Students’ Union runs over 150 societies and over 50 sports clubs,as well as an advice and support centre for struggling students.

Committed to providing for students, Swansea University announced plans to go ahead with the Swansea University Centenary Careers Fair and Part Time Jobs Fair 2020/21, but as withheld information about how as of yet as they are planning the safest method of action
