The University of East London is based on two superb campus locations, one in Stratford and the other in the City's vibrant Docklands area, close to Royal Albert Dock. The University dates back to 1892 when the West Ham Technical Institute was opened and achieved university status in 1992.

    The university of East London has 91% of graduates in work or further study after six months of graduating, 90% employability rate in 17 subjects and trains 600 teachers a year.

  • Fees

    UK and EU tuition fees as of 2024 are listed at £9250 per year, £1000 for a placement year and for international students of 2023 the fee was £14,820 per year.

  • Bursaries

    The eBooks Bursary is on offer for UK and EU students as well as the Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship of £27,750 and the Dean Scholarship of £13,500 four other scholarships are also available as well as specific extra bursaries for study abroad students. A full list can be found here:

Accommodation

Accommodation is offered in East Halls and West halls and options include standard, studio, enhanced, accessible, and premium kitchen. Prices range from £24.28 a night (West Hall Standard room) to £31.42 a night (studio room) and full lists can be found here.

Students' Union

The Students’ Union is run by student for students and offers advice, representation and a wide range of societies. The main building is on the Docklands campus, however there is representation on the Stratford Campuse too.

News

Sugarcrete®, a low-carbon material developed by the University of East London has won a prestigious environmental award at the United Nations Climate Change Conference. The environmental group, Green Cross UK, selected Sugarcrete® to be the winner of the circular economy section of its Climate Positive Awards.
