    The University of Westminster ranks in the top 1000 the Times Higher Education World University Ranking with the Communication and Media Institute also ranked highly in the Research Excellence Framework and QS World University Ranking.

    Fees for UK students are £9250. International student fees are £16,250 as of 2024

  • Bursaries

    The University of Westminster offers several assistance options including the Living Expenses Support Scheme, The 125 Fund Awards or between £150 and £1500, the Disabled Students’ Allowance, and also provides several charities and trusts that can assist. Other options include a Grant For Dependents, and funding for Architecture and postgraduate students.

Accommodation

There are four halls for students to chose from based on their status (postgraduate or undergraduate) and rent. Harrow Hall is for Undergraduates, Postgraduates and study abroad students and offers en suite, shared and studio rooms for £198.59-£253.19 a week. Marylebone Hall is also for Undergraduates, Postgraduates and study abroad students and offers en suite singles, penthouse, premier and shared rooms for £247.85-£395.01 a week. Alexander Fleming hall is for undergraduates, postgraduates and study abroad students and offers single standard rooms or one bed flats for £201.88-£297.29 a month. Finally iQ Raffles House offers undergraduate and post graduate first years standard en suite rooms for £231.22 per week. A full breakdown of prices and facilities can be found here.

Students' Union

The Students’ Union provides sports clubs, societies and Smoke Media (which includes a magazine, radio and tv). There is a bar and two shops too. The Students’ Union runs 27 different sports clubs and over 70 societies from News society to First Aid and Law Society.

Famous for

The University of Westminster has many notable alumni such as Designer of the Saville Theatre Sir Thomas Bennett and Alireza Sagharchi who was part of the Kings Cross Regeneration Programme. Other Alumni include Sir Alexander Fleming, Dominic Grieve and Nick Mason, Roger Waters and Rick Wright from Pink Floyd.

News

University of Westminster’s alumni community has raised £90,000 for the Ignite Fund during annual telephone campaign, doubling the amount raised during last year’s campaign.
