Donnini place is not just accommodation it’s a home! Gillian is very welcoming and makes you feel right at home. During my stay I never had any issues with the household or locals as they were always polite and approachable. The property is very clean and tidy even though it’s also home to two dogs who are very friendly. Donnini place is a 10-15 walk to Durham city and a local retail park. Overall a great experience and if the opportunity and need came up again I would make Donnini Place my home again. Thank you Gillian.

It's a lovely house with spacious, bright rooms, big bathroom and very well equipped kitchen. If someone likes cooking that's the place to be, if cooking isn't their thing there are many takeaways, pubs, restaurants and supermarkets in the area. The house is very clean and comfortable, has a cute backyard where I used to drink my morning coffee during a sunny day. The house is located walking distance from the university and the city centre. I had a great time living at the property, the atmosphere in the house was very nice and relaxed, the landlady was always very friendly and helpful, she would do anything to make everyone feel comfortable and welcome. I definitely recommend this place.

Living at Donnini was one of the happiest moments of my life. It's located in Gilesgate, in a quiet and friendly neighborhood, and even though you need to walk a little to get to Uni, the surroundings are lovely. I was teaching French at Durham Uni and Gilly was really helpful with any administrative enquiry I had, but also with everyday struggles. She is a generous person, so living under her roof was like living in a second home. She likes things tidy, but she's not intrusive, which I liked a lot. She always had small attentions for everyone. She's mindful of each occupant and makes sure you have what you need! I had to go back to France, but I wish I'd stayed there for a longer time, my time at Donnini was a really good memory. I couldn't recommend her more, especially now that I lived with other landlords and people!

I lived in this house for several years. It was very affordable, within walking distance of town, and the landlady (who became a dear friend) was very pleasant, easy to speak to, and maintained the house well. I have very happy memories of my time in Donnini Place and would recommend it highly.
