I lived in this lovely flat for three years and I truly enjoyed it. It is a nicely sized flat with an incredible view of Arthur's seat / Crags with beautiful sunset sights. The location was perfect as it is located on the street with numerous shops (Lidl, Tesco and a big Saisnbury's are all a 5 min walk from the flat, as well as a local Sainsbury's almost across the street), Chinese supermarket, delicious restaurants (some of the best Asian food I've had in Edinburgh!), lovely coffee shops, the post office, Boots, and other shops such as the bargain store. The bus connections are great all around the area. One of the biggest perks is that the main university campus (Edinburgh University) is a 5 min walk away from the flat. This allows students to run home and have a quick lunch, study break, or run to the library last minute if need be. The flat itself was lovely. The kitchen and living area are decently sized which has allowed us to host friends for dinner or hang outs over the years. Three rooms are generously sized, the fourth room is more narrow but still within the range of a regularly sized room for a student flat. Another perk of staying at this property was the landlord - Gurdial was incredibly helpful every step of the way. He was flexible with wifi or gas company changes, and was remarkably quick to respond to anything that needed fixing or replacement. He was upfront and transparent about the costs and overall very helpful every year when we discussed the tenancy contract. I would recommend this flat to any student studying at Uni of Edinburgh who'd like to stay in a friendly and affordable flat that is close to the main shops and university buildings, as well as the beautiful Meadows park.
