5 bed house, Siward Street

This house is the perfect student house! The location in regards to town and uni was perfect with it being a short walk to both and having a bus stop super close! The property was wonderful- no issues throughout our time living there and if there were any small ones our landlords were amazingly nice and helpful.

No matter what query, Mark was constantly attentive and always contactable. He never put off sorting a job that needed to be done and always did it with a smile. He was really responsive, friendly and always went the extra mile to make sure we had a great experience with his property. 10/10.

I think myself and my housemates were extraordinary lucky to have found such a beautiful house in Fulford, reasonable priced, and looked after by a great couple who are kind, efficient and very, very good at their jobs. Any issues that we had with the house were solved with ease, and not once did we find that we could not approach them when problems did arise. Mark made the transition from campus to off campus very smooth, talking us through our contract, helping us settle into the house and was very patient whilst we sorted ourselves out with parents/money etc. I'm incredibly thankful to have been able to rent from a couple who are passionate about their jobs and are also understanding of student circumstances, and regard any other tenants in their care as very lucky. Mark and Dawn have been truly brilliant! Always responded promptly to our queries, made everything easy and convinient. Property was great. Barely had any issues and location was the best imaginable. We invested a lot of time in finding the appropriate house to rent and the past year has showed we made the right choice! This is the best letting agency there is in York and I wholeheartedly recommend it!

We enjoyed living in Mark's house on Fulford Road so much in our second year that we have stayed for our third year. Mark makes sure the property is well kept - he has redecorated both our bathrooms for us. If there is ever a problem he is so quick to respond and will sort it out as soon as possible. Recently we thought our boiler was breaking so we rang him at 11pm and he came round to fix it at 8am the next morning! I would recommend renting any of his houses because he is such a reliable landlord. 7th Jan 2013.

Rented from Mark and Dawn for my final year at university- they were an absolute dream and made everything very easy, from signing the lease to the day I left. Had a great room in a lovely house, and Mark talked us all through the signing process, since we were a group of lads hopeless in any situation involving large cash transactions. During the tenancy, he was on hand all the time, though we hardly needed him. When we asked for a new fridge freezer, he installed one the following day with no problems whatsoever. Would recommend to any student- this is the best agency letting properties in york today!

Mark's been an incredibly reliable landlord and always dealt with any problem we had with the house as quickly as possible- usually within a day. We lived on siward street and it's a great location and house. Mark's really been fantastic and we'd all recoommend him!

Mark has proven to be an excellent landlord. Having gone with a large student letting company in first year we found there was no comparison with the experiences we had with mark. He was always extremely prompt in fixing any issues, but also very personable and understanding - a welcome change from our previous letting agency. I cannot recommend mark highly enough, and would encourage anyone looking for student properties in York to use ycg.

Mark was a great landlord, very friendly and helpful. When anything went wrong with the house he was straight round to sort the problem out and carry out any repair work. I really enjoyed my year living in Mark's house on Brentwood Crescent - he was always on call to deal with any issues we had and sorted them out well. He was not in any way strict or accusatory about the occasional accident, as some landlords and agencies in York can be! He maintaned a friendly yet professional relationship with us throughout the year and I would certainly recommend him as a landlord!

Mark offers good houses at reasonable price. Throughout our year in Badger Hill he has always been reliable and professional about his Landlording duties. If anything needed fixing, he sorted it out promptly. He is very organised and always turns up when he says he will. I would recommend looking at his properties as they are clean and furnished properly.

Mark is a fantastic landlord, always ready to deal with any requests we had, and we had a lot! Prepared for emergencies and always showed a real interest in making our stay in the beautiful Fulford Road house as uncomplicated as possible. The house is far beyond the norm for student housing, really beautiful with some fantastic original features - a house everyone would walk into and said wow! Near to the supermarkets, swift walk to Uni and back from town, a few minutes from Hes Road, ideal location. We could always rely on Mark for anything we needed or wanted, a very reliable landlord, couldn't recommend him or the house enough.

Mark is a great landlord and has number of clean, well equipped houses near to the University. He always sorted out any problems we had as soon as possible and gave us notice of any visits by himself or contractors. Definitely worth having a look at his properties!

Mark is an excellent landlord. He is always personable and friendly whilst operating very professionally. He keeps a set of good quality houses and works to keep them that way. Any problems, he will fix them quickly and with no fuss. If you call Mark's phone, he will answer it and go out of his way to sort you out. He is great with communication and gives you prior written notice on any important matters, eg. A contractor that may need to visit the house. He has been completely fair with deposits, so that is not a worry. He's a good bloke and even brought us wine over the Christmas period! By far the best landlord in my time at York.

Mark takes a very personal approach to his job, and was always readily available when we needed him, and usually turned up on the day to help us out no matter how trivial the problem. He even went out of his way to help us solve issues that he was not required to by the terms of the contract. When accidents happened Mark was understanding, and unlike other landlords, if we broke something around the house, did not charge us labour time to fix it, only the sum of the parts we had destroyed! (And I suspect he let us off lightly in this area as well). I have heard a lot about peoples' experiences with other student landlords and property companies around York, and they are mostly negative. We were extremely lucky to find Mark and he made the transition from student accomodation to renting a house very easy. I would definately recommend looking at his properties!
