Cathy has been an excellent landlady. We always knew we could rely on her to help when we needed it. The few things we needed were done as quickly as possible. She let us know when she wasn’t going to be available. She came and did general maintenance regularly but not to an intrusive extent, including refurbishing the paint in the bathroom, weeding the garden, etc. We always felt that our safety was Cathy’s priority. There was regular carbon monoxide and smoke alarm, fire blanket and extinguisher maintenance. Most rooms have a safety light that came on when we had a power cut so we were not in darkness like the rest of the area. Cathy is a friendly and kindhearted individual and we enjoyed being her tenants for 5 years. The area was perfect for us, we went to the two universities in York and it was within walking distance for both. It was a short walk to UoY Campus West (or a very short bus ride) and a slightly longer walk to YSJ. There were good cafés and pubs in the local area with a very short walk to get inside the city walls.

All four of us had a brilliant experience this year... Cathy helped us move in and arrange utilities etc, sorted out a replacement fridge within two days when the previous one broke, and provided prompt repairs to various problems. No problems were had with rent payments/council tax/contract issues. All round a great landlady, would recommend to all.
