Living at 17 West Building's puts you hardly 30 seconds away from the Worthing seafront, and an even shorter distance to a shopping high street with most shops you'd need at short notice; places to grab lunch, dinner and just about everything else. It's a 15 minute drive from campus, but if you don't have a car with you, theres a bus stop nearby to a "Pulse" bus service that circulates through all the important places in Worthing, including the final stop 5 minutes from campus. The buses were my way of getting to and from campus, which was around 20-25 minutes. Cycling is also an option that I used a few times, with the quickest route being very flat including a ride along the seafront promenade - how long will take depends on how fast you are on a bike, but for me it was 15-20 minutes. The property itself has no issues for me, everything works and the size makes it easy to keep clean. It is on the smaller side, but this is made up for with the size of the bedrooms. It's all furnished, but the room I was in had enough space for me to fit in an extra desk for a TV and a very bulky gaming chair whilst still having enough space to stand up and walk around. There is a shed down a short flight of stairs which my flatmate and I used to put our bikes, and down in this small yard is a washing line for clothes. It should be noted that there isn't a communal living room to lounge around in, but each room can have a few people in without feeling claustrophobic, so I don't see it as a problem. The wifi is good and you get 4G in the flat so you're rarely without a connection. My landlord Jenny is very helpful, easy to contact and will help you with any problems you might have. In the event that anything needs fixing or changing she's very swift at coming to have a look at it and getting someone down for the job. Outside of paying the rent on time you have complete freedom. Overall the flat was perfect for me and I wouldn't have wanted to live anywhere else.
A good flat in a great area with a nice balcony and outside area good for storing bikes. With a short 10 minute walk to the train station and close to the sea and town centre it’s a great area for students. Jenny has been a really friendly and approachable landlady who responds quickly to any issues or queries, and regularly checks in to make sure there are no problems. Would highly recommend.

When you move into a rental property you will be required to pay a refundable security deposit.
The deposit is designed to provide the accommodation provider with a financial commitment that you're going to uphold the terms of your tenancy agreement. Keep in mind that throughout your tenancy, the deposit remains your property and is just being securely held by your accommodation provider.
Provided your tenancy runs smoothly and you leave the property in the condition you found it, you will receive your deposit back in full when you move out. However, the accommodation provider is entitled to make deposit deductions for missing items, damage or breaches to the terms set out in the tenancy agreement.
